During the food distribution program at Koti Maternity Hospital, we encountered numerous patients requiring access to purified drinking water, which unfortunately came at a cost of Rs 20 per liter. Recognizing the potential harm and life-threatening consequences of the summer heat, our organization initiated the IQRA Water Drive near Koti Maternity Hospital, addressing the absence of clean and treated water facilities in the area. In March 2022, we established a water plant to alleviate this issue. The water plant is not only advantageous to the medical practitioners, nurses, and patients but also extends its benefits to pedestrians passing by, as they can avail themselves of this resource for free. On a daily basis, over 4000 liters of purified cool water are consumed, with an additional 4000 liters dedicated to general usage. The waste purified water is subsequently treated and repurposed for other domestic needs. We serve approximately 8000 liters of water daily, amounting to a monthly provision of around 240,000 liters. This 24/7 free water service has genuinely impacted the lives of many individuals, who now enjoy the benefits of clean water access
